New Taxonomy: WAND Instruction Manual Taxonomy

Instruction manuals are everywhere. We use them when we acquire a new device, a piece of equipment, or a new automobile. There are instruction manuals for all kinds of products, for the assembly of a product, for the decommissioning of a product, for the operation and maintenance of a product, for the servicing of a product, and that is only the beginning. When you have a piece of equipment that needs servicing, the last thing you want to do is spend time searching for its specific instruction manual. This taxonomy includes terms found in areas within an instruction manual and allows you to make the most of the manuals in your collection. It also allows you to find a specific manual in a fraction of the time it would take to search file after file until you find the one you are after. As with all our taxonomies, this strong foundation metadata model can be customized to include additional terms relating to your specific needs or industry.

Manufacturing Taxonomy Update

The recent taxonomy update in Manufacturing drastically improved categorization by incorporating thousands of new synonyms, streamlining classifications for items such as Building Facility Maintenance Inspections, Dynamic Pile Analysis, and Home Efficiency Inspections. This overhaul not only enriched the taxonomy's specificity but also improved search accuracy and accessibility for professionals in the manufacturing industry. The inclusion of diverse terminology ensure a more comprehensive representation of tools and techniques, enhancing the taxonomy's utility for practitioners and researchers alike.

Research and Development Taxonomy Update

This month, WAND really wanted to focus on expanding the testing aspect of research and development projects. With new terms such as Destructive Testing, Crash Testing, and Metallographic Testing, this taxonomy update can now better support you and your company in your research and development of important products and components. You can add these new changes to your existing taxonomy by visiting the portal and downloading the delta file.

Water Utilities Taxonomy Updates

In a recent update to the water utilities taxonomy, there was a focus on term additions related to desalination, refining the taxonomy's coverage of modern water innovations. These additions provide a more holistic view for industry professionals and analysts. We are excited about the advancements in desalination and water purification in water utility companies across the world, and look forward to supporting you in your efforts through good data categorization.
