As we continue to develop new taxonomies, we also review and update our current taxonomies. The taxonomy that was just updated is the WAND Accounting Taxonomy.
The focus of this update was to review the current taxonomy and to look for additional terms and synonyms.
In Accounting Analysis we added a significant number of terms to Accounting Metrics, especially in Accounting Ratios. Another area that had an increase in terms was Financial Records.
We also added to the synonyms throughout the taxonomy. The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission Filing Forms are complete, using the Form Number, with all of the extended names as synonyms.
The taxonomy now provides a foundation of 1,166 terms and 1,186 synonyms that can also be customized. The WAND Accounting Taxonomy is designed to help organized and tag accounting related documents.
As with all WAND Taxonomies, the WAND Accounting Taxonomy is available by itself or as part of the WAND Taxonomy Library Portal.
