In browsing through our Taxonomy Library Portal, you might have seen our WAND Insurance Taxonomy. It is a good overall taxonomy covering the Insurance Industry. But as a result of the Affordable Care Act and the massive changes to Health Insurance, we decided that it was time to expand that portion of the original taxonomy into a standalone taxonomy.
The WAND Health Insurance Taxonomy provides a foundation of 536 terms and 486 synonyms that can be customized to include terms specific to the areas and insurance policies being offered.
This taxonomy covers Fraud, Health Insurance Products, Plan Documents and Forms, Underwriting and Healthcare Laws.
In the area of Plan Terms and Provisions, you will find terms covering Claims, Payments and Reimbursements, Coverage and Benefits, Enrollment, Limitations, Exclusions and Riders, and much more.
Like all of the WAND Taxonomies in the Insurance Taxonomy Series, the WAND Health Insurance Taxonomy complements both the WAND Life Insurance Taxonomy and the WAND Property and Casualty Taxonomy, as well as the WAND Insurance Taxonomy which covers all areas of the insurance industry.
As with all WAND Taxonomies, is available by itself or as part of the WAND Taxonomy Library Portal.
