This webinar is the third in a series following “Managed Metadata 101: Taxonomies and Tagging in SharePoint” and “Managed Metadata 201: Advanced Taxonomy in SharePoint”
Just as a SharePoint implementation should have a governance plan, a SharePoint taxonomy should be governed as well. Most companies don’t have the experts or the know-how in place. This webinar will get you started on the path to properly govern taxonomies in SharePoint 2010, 2013 and Online.
In this webinar, we’ll take a deep dive into taxonomy governance frameworks for SharePoint, including best practices, policies and procedures, and setting up a taxonomy governance team. You’ll learn who should be involved with taxonomy governance and what those people should be doing to ensure that the SharePoint taxonomy you’ve set up can continue to grow.
We’ll take a brief break from governance to look at another SharePoint Term Store advanced topic and walk through how to use the Custom Properties feature in the term store.
Presented by Mark Leher, COO of WAND, Inc. and Mike Doane, Founder of Term Management, LLC.
Suggested prerequisite: “Managed Metadata 101: Taxonomies and Tagging in Sharepoint” And “Managed Metadata 201: Advanced Taxonomy in SharePoint”
