WAND Alternate Taxonomy Mappings

Supplement and expand your existing taxonomy or vocabulary with state of the art product and service taxonomy from the WAND Product and Service Taxonomy.  Any existing product and service or industry taxonomy can be mapped into the WAND Taxonomy to make data that was accessible with the old vocabulary searchable within the WAND Taxonomy.  This eases the transition to using the WAND Product and Service Taxonomy in your application without losing the benefit of data classified to the old system.  Mappings from third party coding systems to the WAND Product and Service Taxonomy have been used to enable data loading into Powered by WAND business directories for over a decade.

Your existing local search or consumer products classification schema can be mapped to the WAND Local Search Taxonomy improving the search interface so users will be able to get results for nearly any search query.

WAND’s team of lexicographers will use proven techniques developed over the past decade to ensure that the terminology in your vocabulary is linked to the appropriate place in the WAND Product and Service Taxonomy.   The WAND Product and Service Taxonomy has been mapped to all major industry classification systems including NAICS, SIC, HS, UNSPSC, and yellow pages heading systems.
