Letter from the CEO

1/07/2008

Dear Friends,

As 2008 begins, I want to take a moment to reflect on 2007, which saw the WAND local search taxonomy become more firmly established in the local search and online YP space as a solution for improving query resolution and results relevance. Most prominently, Telegate, a customer in Germany, had their local search site, 11880.com, rated as the number one local search site in Germany by two separate German magazines. Both articles mentioned the quality of results and recognition, a key value proposition for the WAND Local Search Taxonomy, as a strength for the site. The WAND Local Search Taxonomy was also adopted by UniversalBusinessListing.org, a company that is working to create the first universal yellow pages data set that is freely available for anybody to use, thus enabling innovation in the local search space. The WAND Taxonomy was chosen as the best source of categories available as well as the mappings to all other major classification systems which enable a business to register to the WAND taxonomy and instantly have their classifications for yellow pages, SIC, and NAICS. Finally, Information Pages, a leading platform provider to independent yellow page companies, has integrated the WAND Local Search Taxonomy into its solution. Some of its major customers, Valley Yellow Pages and Names and Numbers, are already reporting high levels of satisfaction with the taxonomy integration.

Moving into 2008, WAND is excited to continue to penetrate different spaces with its taxonomy and to continue growth in its business to business directory business; the National Association of Manufacturer's Manufacturing Buyers Guide launched in November and traffic overall on WAND.com was up 50% year over year in 2007.

Expect some major announcements from WAND in the first half of 2008 as interest in taxonomy is at an all time high.

Best regards,
